RCQ attend RiskMinds in London

RCQ's Founding Director, Edward James was invited to attend RiskMinds conference in London. He was joined by over 1000 other leaders and delegates from the Risk, Credit and Quant space.

While there are plenty of macroeconomic fears and worries about what lies ahead of us, I left the conference feeling reassured that so many risk leaders were keen to listen and share their thoughts on how to tackle the current and upcoming challenges.”

The key takeaway points are:

• Hiring is picking up after a quiet year, leaving us optimistic about hiring volumes going into next year
• Geopolitical risks are key in this environment and while many points can be actioned to mitigate this, many geopolitical issues will be hard to fully control the impact on financial institutions
• Regulatory measures – it seems that with the CRRIII/Basel IV implementation deadline just over a year away, there is much work to be done for most banks to ensure compliance.
